Introduction

The Clairvoyant’s Window is a handbook of astrological techniques which can be applied to multiple entry contests. The book focuses on thoroughbred horse racing, but the concepts can also be applied to harness racing, greyhound racing, Jai Alai, etc.

This compilation is the result of much research and data accumulation, testing, and finding the more important astrological and numerical factors that will help identify the top finishers in horse and dog racing events.

This information is good to use on any pari-mutuel event, or any multi-contestant event the reader may be interested in. Even something most people consider obscure like Jai Alai can be analyzed with these methods.

The crux of these methods are astrological in nature, both western, and Vedic. An intermediate level understanding of astrological concepts and terminology are required as a base to understand the material. Number and time cycles are also used and explored and have a power of their own.

Tropical western astrology using Placidus houses will be used for transit aspects, critical degrees, and chart examples, along with transit to natal aspects. Some of the methodology involves transit to track natal, transit to track aspects then aspected to the horse natal, and transit to horse natal.

From the Vedic system, an ability to read the North Indian chart, understand what nakshatras and their rulers are, and also an understanding of the Krishnamurti Paddhati method of ruling planets should be gained before reading this work. The star lord, sub lord concept is an important foundational piece to understand in order to implement the material and attain success in wagering.

This book is written under the assumption that the reader has that base of knowledge. The book does not teach the astrological concepts. Rather, this book teaches an application of these concepts, some with a twist. Potential readers requiring an education in this material should acquire that from other sources before trying to implement this work.

The basic statistics of the parimutuel game are also covered, as that is of paramount importance for the reader to clearly understand, and the author describes how to capitalize on that knowledge. In the pari-mutuel mechanism, the odds distribution win percentage is relatively fixed, and the understanding of that mechanism, and where the profit lies, must be clearly understood, especially for someone with limited wagering experience.

The bottom line is the objective is not to win every race. In pari-mutuel wagering, profit goes up as the win percentage goes down. Understanding that, in the system, the higher win percentage returns less money.

Simple betting patterns are also covered. The reader must be able to understand what the tote board is saying and that will allow an understanding of how the odds movement will impact the potential wagering on a race. The odds movement gives a lot of information and knowing some of these movements can be used to our advantage. Odds ranges and movements are studied closely and understanding the impact of these ranges and movements is a big part of the toolset of the winning handicapper.

The Caveats

The astrological factors are a great aid, though they cannot bring in every 100-1 shot because it has an aspect. The objective of a professional horse bettor is to make as much money as possible, not to win the most races.

35% of the races are won by favorites. This is the group that ideally, the winning player tries to avoid as the profit potential is almost non-existent. The risk/reward factor is not there.

Favorites can be taken advantage of, though not in the win pool, unless everything aligns pointing to them as being a “lock”.

The good news is they can be utilized with great success in the exotic bets. You will bet against favorites every day. Some of them will beat you. That is going to happen. You have to realize this and allow for it. The people who bet favorites will continue to bet them and gradually lose money. This is the one absolute part of the pari-mutuel system that allows you to put money in your pocket.

The highest odds 3-5% of the total amount of winners is also difficult to predict. It is the meat in between that the winning horse bettor looks to grab his piece of the pie from. The 60% of the winners between the favorites and the (mostly) unattainable crazy longshots that come in.

Not every race is predictable. Some races are pretty clear, others are not. Some races will have 2, or even more choices which may be tied on ability and astrological factors. Some will be as clear as mud and in those you should pass the race. There are many races to choose from. Choose the ones that are clear in your mind to bet. There is no reason to bet a race that has eight horses who can win, if the astrological factors aren’t there to isolate the winner.

With the ability that we have to identify hidden value, we can bet 2 or 3 horses to win in a race a lot of the time and still have plenty of profit potential. Would you rather bet 3 horses at 8-1, 10-1, and 18-1 and win the race, or try to pick one, pick the wrong one, and lose?

The hidden value mentioned is in the power of the astrological factors. There are no past performances or handicapping software that incorporates the astrological factors in this book. This is your edge. This is a great advantage as it is likely that less than one person in a thousand is going to be using this. This is what will allow you to identify the high odds winning horses that are given in examples in this book.

Wagering value is determined by how many people have the same information. Favorites win because everyone has the same past performances or similar software.

If you are using astrological factors that are proven, and the betting public is not familiar with them, you are three steps ahead. You have “hidden” information few others have, and that offers increased odds on your horses. Thus, the hidden factors of astrology will put you in the driver’s seat as your pari-mutuel competition is in the dark.

Overview Of Chapter Contents

This book contains a series of techniques and methods. The reader may pick and choose those that are appealing to him or her, or the more avid race player may choose to use the all encompassing approach which requires more work, but obviously gets the best results. The more experienced astrologer may wish to go all out, while the novice can do well using some of the simpler techniques, or using the excel tools by themselves with the handicapping software.

Some excel tools were made, as a labor saving device, which will give important information with the click of a few buttons, saving much valuable time.

Data must be fed into some of these sheets, and the author may decide to provide these as a fee based add on service the reader may wish to utilize as a labor saving device.

The Statistics Of The Game

In the beginning, the statistics of the game are examined. The reader must understand how the betting choices are determined and how often each betting choice can win. This is a huge factor and this understanding is a key concept that must be always in the forefront of the thinking speculator.

In modern horse racing, the favorite is winning over 35% of the time. There is a time for favorites to win, and a time for longshots to win. The information in this book shows how to determine when those times are. Our objective is to try to beat the favorite in the win hole most of the time. The favorite can be used to our advantage in exotic bets, when we can identify higher odds horses to pair with it.

When betting in the win pool, the objective is to get the cream from the other 60% of the races.

Sometimes the favorite can be bet, when the astrology confirms the handicapping and the price is better than the horse’s natural chance to win. This assessment is subjective, and only gained through experience.

Handicapping Software

It is wise to mix conventional handicapping methods with the astrological concepts and an understanding of the statistics of the game.

The software of choice for the author is RDSS, Racing Decision Support System. This is a solid pace based handicapping tool, which is the modern version of the famed Sartin Methodology software created by the late, great, Howard “Doc” Sartin. This is offered at a very reasonable price and uses data files available from Trackmaster.

Anyone planning to play races frequently should subscribe to this tool and make it a core piece of their game. Combining handicapping software with the astro factors and knowing the percentages of the game is the best way to go.

The top 4 finishers in the RX3 category win over 80% of the races. The astrological factors help you to isolate which one can win. The top 5 win over 90% of the time.

Compare that to the top 4 betting choices winning 84% of the time currently. The thing with this is, the RDSS top 4 are not necessarily the top 4 betting choices. This is a big advantage.

Here is a screenshot from the book showing the breeder’s cup sprint from 2018 where RDSS had the top 4 finishers listed in the top 4.

History Repeats!

This is the chapter where three number cycles are explained and certain lookback patterns are described which will allow the reader to find 2 or 3 horses that will likely hit the superfecta in this race with no other work required. These simple patterns are must use on every racing day. The following race example screenshots show a 4 race sequence that is used to predict numbers for todays race. The last column is todays result, the first four columns are the lookback sequence.

Tracking & Charting Your Track

This chapter covers various thoroughbred track natals and illustrates how the track natal will impact the horses abilities to win races via the aspects to the horses.

A list of track natal dates are given and also a completed analysis with charts of about 10 tracks which have been analyzed for you. These charts are a list of birth dates with the strongest dates identified by the natal. These were based off hundreds of real races and real results. These will allow the reader advantaged information that no one else has.

A specific example is given of Santa Anita. A major race track in Arcadia, California is used to demonstrate how the track natal is broken down piece by piece and how this information is then compiled into a table and applied to the group of horses in the race to find the most advantaged or disadvantaged horses.

This is a complete dissection of the natal chart and is compared to the actual statistics from a full meet of all the winners and their birth dates. This proves the validity of the astrological aspects enhancing a horse’s ability to win.

The following chart shows the result of horses born in March. How many entries there were, and how many winners born on those dates in March at track X. On March 2nd, 3/2, there were 145 runners born this day, and 29 won, winning 20%. This is an unfiltered statistic and the result of a single race meet.

The green highlights the winning birth dates that were over 18%. This is an advantage to the bettor. This data was compiled for 10 tracks and the full results and stats from this study are contained in this chapter. The second betting choice, or second lowest odds horse wins 18 -21% of the races. Many of these in this statistic are paying much higher odds than that and show a profit for the whole meet.

Just in March from this table, consider betting all the green highlight horses born on those dates.

There were 427 qualifiers, with 103 winners.

24% winners, just from knowing the advantaged birthdates. This is a mix of odds all over the place. This shows a very large positive return on investment. When you consider the second lowest odds betting choice wins 18-21% of the races, and returns a loss, this is a huge advantage.

If this data were filtered by removing the low odds range that we don’t bet, and the high odds horses who do not meet the betting odds parameters of those who rarely win, the win percentage and ROI, return on investment, improves as well.

Astrological Factors Of Importance, Aspects & Critical Degrees

This chapter explains the aspects most important to finding winners in races. This covers transit aspects, and also transit to natal aspects of the horse. This also explains how to find the critical degree’s for todays races and how this may point to todays winners.

Other important concepts are explained and implemented here including, but not limited to, the Arabic Parts. The part of fortune, the part of riches, the part of victory(triumph), the part of luck, and the part of success.

These are important factors in determining the outcome of the race and explained in detail here.

Aspecting The Horse Natal

This chapter explains the key points about how to quickly aspect the horse natal and identify the key points in play for the race today. This is not a complex process. It is a quick view with just a few things to look for. Horses exact natals are not known so we are only looking at the “big picture” of their birth chart, not anything fast moving.

Certain natal positions from the horses chart show up in certain transit event chart locations that allow us to identify a lot of winners.

A study was conducted at Saratoga Race Course in New York in the summer of 2018.

A single factor again was tested and the result are shown below.

First, the national average.

The favorite or number 1 betting choice, won 38%, placed 53%, and showed in 70% of the races.

The single astrological factor applied had the following result when applied to the 1,2,3 betting choices.

Notice the win percentage of the favorite improved to 54% winners, 59% place, and show about the same.

Compare the stats of the 2 and 3 choice as well. The stats improve across the board.

Betting favorites shows an overall loss around 8%. This technique flips that to the bettors advantage and now makes betting these favorites a profitable proposition.

Simple Concepts To Use From The Vedic Astrologers

This chapter explains concepts key to identifying the nature of the day. This is of critical importance as the speculator needs to know if favorites are going to win today, or if it’s going to be a big day for longshots, or if low to mid-priced horses will dominate. This allows careful consideration of what odds range to place the money on that particular day.

On a day mostly favorites are destined to win, don’t throw away money betting longshots to win.

Along with the nature of the day, the transit aspects are covered and also how the planets aspecting in transit that day can determine what numbers may come in.

For instance, the conjunction of Mars and Rahu will bring in two longshots of number 9 on the card and possibly a 4. If the conjunction is in a certain longitudinal area, it will bring a huge longshot.

Every planetary aspect and combination will have a different effect on the races today, and all of these combinations are covered.

Subtopics of interest include planetary ingress, combustion, Nakshatra rulership combinations, and a technique to determine if the current race will go to a favorite or a longshot based on the chart of the event.

A Most Powerful Secret

This may be the single most important discovery in this book and is worth the price by itself. This will show the reader how to identify the days where a certain number group will win most of the races on the day. A prime example of this was on this past Breeders Cup Day Saturday 11-2-19 where the author was able to identify and hit 10 of the 12 race winners just knowing what numbers would dominate that day.

This is recapped completely in this chapter. The Breeders Cup is one of the best betting opportunities of the year in American racing. The fields and pools are huge and there are always astronomical payoffs.

It doesn’t happen every day, but when these dates are coming, very few will know, besides the owners of this book.

Not every day sets up to be a great betting day. Some days there is not much going on astrologically to influence the outcome of races. Other days, like this past Breeders Cup day, are the dates the winning horse bettor looks ahead for and circles on the calendar.

Here’s the winners result for a day from last year in early spring.

The results from Oaklawn Park were as follows for first place finishers.

      7,2,2,7,2,2,2,2,9,6,9.

The moon won 8 races in a row and lost power as it was moving away from exact aspect later in the afternoon.

This doesn’t happen every day. but you will know how to look ahead for it and then capitalize on those days when it is in play.

Planetary Hours

Various planetary hour calculations are merged and this merged number set will often give the number grouping comprising the superfecta, or top four finishers in a race. This is a popular wager currently, as it is available now for .10 cents per combination at most tracks. This technique will identify a good number of superfecta winning number combinations. This is clearly explained with multiple examples.

This screenshot shows a partial result from a planetary hour test run in 2018. This shows 10 different planetary hour methods with a combined number set and how they finished. The last 4 columns are the top 4 finishers highlighted in red, green, yellow, and brown. The 10 PH Tests are numbered and highlighted the same.

Winning With The Jockey

This explains some techniques for how to use the jockey natal to identify days when he or she will be “hot” and win races. Many jockey birth dates are provided as a starting point. Speculators who like to concentrate their play at their home track should go and meet the jockeys or check the media guide from the track to get the jockey birth dates from.

This method alone can put you on a lot of winners. The jockeys themselves are usually very willing to provide this information if they know it and you can be a hero by going back and telling them when they will have good days, or what race will be their personal best chance to win on a given day.

Some Ideas From Solastro

A couple of Solastro’s techniques are illustrated here. This is touched on lightly here as those interested in Solastro should acquire this package from Sacredscience.com. The techniques illustrated work well.

Solastro does some good work that can open the doors to the thinking astro handicapper and allow new discoveries to be made.

A Vedic Vibration Method

This is one of the few sound vibration methods the author has tested that actually works consistently.

This is something that should not be overlooked if it applies to the current race. One of the excel tools performs this calculation with a few button clicks for the speculator to quickly find and apply to the current race.

This is based on the vedic system and is a powerful method.

Advanced Vedic Astrology Methods: KP Ruling Planets

This chapter takes the vedic astrology to a more complex level. The author has discovered a key method that uses the Krishnamurti sidereal zodiac. It is a modification of the Krishnamurti ruling planet method.

This method was devised as a horary, or prashna method. The author has modified it and converted it to a transit to natal method that is very powerful in certain instances.

Many believe the KP (Krishnamurti Paddhati) to be the most predictive astrological method in existence. The horse racing results bear this out.

This method was used by the author to successfully identify the longshot horses finishing first or second in the 2019 Triple Crown series. This included the big bomb Kentucky Derby winner Country House, who won on disqualification at 65-1 after being interfered with by the favorite. The new moon was the likely culprit there as it became exact precisely at the start of the race. See the 2019 Triple Crown Series Chapter for more detail on this.

This is a very important chapter and is a core piece of astro handicapping material. There is also an excel sheet created to do the work for the speculator and gets it down to a few clicks to get the output.

KP Ruling Planets: Retrograde Nakshatra Rulership

This chapter takes the KP ruling planet method to the next level and tells how to interpret the retrograde planets in the vedic chart and how they impact todays race as far as ruling planet power goes. It also allows for the honorary ruler to step up and show his power. These factors upgrade or downgrade the rulership power when present and this fully explains the application for that.

Lies, Damn Lies, and Statistics

This chapter shows the results of a 512 race test conducted by the author proving out the efficacy of a star lord, sub lord method of identification of the winning horse.

In this section the complete study is laid out showing the number of qualifiers and top 4 finishers in each category. The data is then broken down and filtered by high and low odds increasing the win percentage and ROI.

The result of this data creates a set of automatic bets in the straight pools which can be immediately implemented by the reader into a sound, consistent betting methodology with virtually no work required other than checking the numbers right before the horses go to post and getting your bet in.

Those interested in finding automatic bets or wishing to develop algorithmic systems for computerized betting will find this a good start in that direction. Betting Syndicates, like those run by Bill Benter in Hong Kong, use this type of research to develop automated betting methods.

Pancha Pakshi Sastra

This is an ancient South Indian Tamil technique called the Five Bird Science.

A few days of this are illustrated along with the reference material for interested readers to pursue this. This is an interesting technique that works but has not been fully developed out in testing.

Interested readers may do so for themselves. It is considered to be valuable enough that it should be mentioned here. The technique is a five bird rotation with each bird going through a sequence of five functions. There are two numbers assigned to each bird and the ruling bird at the time of the race brings the two numbers into play. One of these numbers will win a good amount of the races.

The Checklist: A Daily Setup Routine

This chapter illustrates how to set up the work for the days races. It begins by summarizing the earlier points into an orderly checklist that will allow the handicapper a sequence to go through to get organized for the days races. It starts with the nature of the day, what odds ranges to expect from the winners. What aspects are in play and how those will impact the numbers to come in. Each race chart is examined to determine what races will go favorite, mid price, or longshot.

Using The Tools: A Couple Days At The Races

This chapter goes into utilizing the information presented into an orderly manner to go through a couple days of races, with every race being considered for wagering along with suggested wagers along with result charts.

Using The Excel Tools: Two Cards 4-2-19

This chapter shows how to utilize the excel tools only to handicap and play the races that day. Two complete cards are done in the example with analysis for every race and results for both cards.

This is the quick method that brings three techniques together in Excel. This will get the player a quick astro look into the races without doing the heavy lifting of a more comprehensive astrological approach.

The three techniques are the KP Ruling Planet Method, The HC Vibration, and the Birth Date cycle.

Here is an example of the KP at work. The yellow are the prime contenders, the brown, secondary, and the red, tertiary.

The excel screenshot and result chart below.

This race has a 29-1 winner and some good prices in the exotics which could be gotten by users of the KP chart. All three yellows finish in the top 4. The 4 finishes 4th.

A really nice exacta and superfecta payoff for a dime were well within reach in here.

The full result chart below.

The HC Vibration sheet is set up to do all tracks and has easy click buttons to change date, and a pull down tab to change tracks.

The birth date match excel provides all the winners birth dates for the last 5 years and its all in this excel tool. Match the birth dates to todays race and see if there are any qualifiers.

This sheet contains all the data to use it every day through 2020.

This example shot shows Penn National and all the qualifying dates that match to today’s races.

The 2019 Triple Crown Series

Everybody loves the big race days especially when they can win. The 2019 Triple Crown Series is examined in detail and handicapped using the astro tools described and provided in this book.

The following screenshot shows the excel ruling planets for Kentucky Derby using KP.

The yellow highlight horses are the best and Country House was the strongest.

In the Preakness the KP had the following and nailed the two longshots who finished second and third.

Generally, a horse who runs in the Derby wins the Preakness and those were the 1,4,9.

The 1, War OF Will won as third betting choice as one of the runners coming out of the derby, while the 5,10 finished next at big odds.

The Belmont offered another good opportunity.

In this one there was no KP qualifier but there was a horse who had great aspects, and that was #7 Sir Winston who won at 10-1. The pattern identifying Sir Winston is fully explained and the exacta to the favorite was easy enough to hit.

Using Outside Handicapping Sources

For those not wanting to do their own handicapping or use any software, some good outside sources are provided along with a multi day example using one outside source for selections which is then modified with the astro input from the tool set provided here. Many profitable days of racing are done here complete with suggested wagers and results. This is a large chapter and verifies the merging of these two powerhouse concepts. The recommended handicapping services are reasonably priced and reliable in their consistency.

Where To Place Your Bets

Off track betting is very popular now and include ADW deposit sites. ADW is advance deposit wagering and these sites have their own wagering interfaces where you can wager money in your account. They are reliable and the money hits your account instantly when the result becomes official.

Some of these sites offer very good rebate programs and one of the best is recommended therein.

Anyone wanting to bet horses would be foolish not to capitalize on the rebate programs.

Description of the Excel Tools

This chapter gives a detailed description of the excel tools and what they can do.

Some of the excel requires race card data. This data may be provided by the author for a nominal fee.

The Birth Date cycle sheet needs an annual update. This may also be provided by the author for a nominal fee.

These sheets are not necessary to using the techniques but they do save the time of performing the arduous tasks.

They are here to provide a time saving short cut to the interested handicapper.

The Purpose of The Forum

Regarding the forum, the prospective buyers should carefully note the following points:

I have a busy life.

I am not teaching any astrology here.

I am not teaching basic or advanced handicapping here.

The reader is responsible for obtaining this knowledge themselves. I am not going to entertain questions regarding this. I am not answering questions the reader can easily find the answer to with a simple google search. If you are too lazy to look things up yourself, you have no right to expect me to waste my time with basic stuff.

You are buying my research results, insight, and base of knowledge. That is it. The level of your skill, and development of that skill, is up to you to work out for yourself.

Some of you will pick it up and run with it and succeed. A lot of you won’t. The statistics in racing are the same as the statistics in trading. Maybe 5% of you will get it right.

Most people, even equipped with the correct knowledge, will not be able to EXECUTE WAGERING CORRECTLY.

I am not in the forum to do your work. I am not in the forum to give you race predictions. There are 100’s of examples of that in the book. I am not running a free selection service.

If you ask me who I like in The Kentucky Derby, I may or may not tell you. Do not be mad if I don’t. That is not the purpose of the forum.

You will not become a professional horse better starting from ground zero overnight. I have years developing that skill. Just as you don’t become a pro trader by reading a book, you will not become a pro handicapper by reading a book. It takes time to develop the requisite skills.

You become a professional by taking some lumps while learning from your mistakes.

You will try to implement the techniques. Two minutes before the race you will be sifting through the horses trying to make a decision and you will be confused. Its going to take time to work that out.

If I am going to play the races on a Saturday and spend two hours doing the prep work, then why would I want to post my intentions on a forum. Let’s say I have identified a 20-1 shot with a strong chance to win or be in the exacta.

If I post that horse on a forum, twenty people will bet it, they will tell their brother or their friends, now 40 people are betting it. All of a sudden, my 20-1 horse is 4-1. That is self defeating for me, and gives me no incentive at all. That is the nature of the pari-mutuel system. The less who know, the better.

Along with the win price, the payoffs in all the pools will be diminished.

If I key that horse in a pick 3 and the odds are 20-1, I may get a $600 payoff with a favorite and a mid price horse in the other two races. If you are all playing it, I will get an $80 payoff.

Where is my incentive to do the work for you, and post my picks?

If you are doing the work, and you post what you are looking at with your thoughts and your view of the race, then I will be glad to assist. Don’t come in there with the “What do you think of this race, or what do you think of that” because I will not do that. Do the work, and I will give you my opinion.

Racing is a fun diversion for me. It’s a spare time fun activity. I am not, or will not, be tied to it on a daily basis. It is not going to be a job for me.

At times, I will post some insights, or post some method I may be working on, or something that didn’t make it into the book. Maybe its an astrological event that you should see forthcoming.

This is the extent of my involvement in the forum.

This is not for newbies. This is not for the lazy. This is not a hand holding service.

This book is for intermediate level astrologers, and intermediate level handicappers.

If you don’t have those skills, or are not intending to develop those skills, then this book is not for you.

Being successful at this requires hard work. Sometimes monotonous work. If you are not willing to do this work, don’t buy this book. If your expectation is that I am going to do this for you, I am not.

Please fully understand that up front…

Importance (ICE Rating) – Our catalog comprises a specific collection of research materials carefully curated over a century by experts (ie. Gann & Baumring) to provide specific references and foundations in key fields essential for understanding this science. This rating highlights the level of importance each book has to this specific field of study.
Originality – Defines the level of originality of each specific work in its field and in relationship to the overriding subject matter.
Difficulty – Defines the technical difficulty of each book, how much work it will take to digest. A book may not be the highest Level, but may still contain a difficult technical presentation. Similarly, a book may be very advanced but quite easy to read.
Level – Describes how advanced a book is, falling into the general categories of introductory, beginner, intermediate, advanced, and expert.
Entertainment – Tells how entertaining or fun to read a particular book is. Obviously, this will depend upon the person reading it, but some books, though important, may be undeniably dry and boring, while others are utterly fascinating and totally engaging, such that you can hardly put them down.
Customer – Customer ratings, reviews and comments. This is the only rating at most stores, but the least important for us, since anyone who rates these books poorly often will not understand their purpose or context. Our specialized curation demands that every book listed be important in a particular way. We do not include “bad” books in our catalog.
