Author's Introduction

All of us are looking for tools that will help improve our trading. One of the main things that most short term traders desire, is to know what the trend is, or will be, and how long it will last.

This book takes a very large step toward providing that answer to the trader.

There are a variety of tools described in this work, all of which will work very well individually.

We strongly recommend that all the tools be used in combination, as this will provide the best opportunity to obtain exceptional results in your trading.

Various Excel tools are provided and free software (Windows based), that will do the calculations for you so that all you need to do is mark up your charts.

The indicators are also available in Ninjatrader for no additional fee for those who use that software. We are exploring having the tools programmed in Wave59 and Optuma as well. However, none of these secondary packages provides any further information than is included in the Excel spreadsheets. They just allow a simpler viewing module upon charts in these programs.

We (the authors) have been working together and sharing research for many years. The key to the significant breakthroughs that were the base for this book was overcoming our resistance to learning something new.

That “something new” was Vedic astrology.

The western system of astrology has its function but the general application of the western system pales in comparison to the Vedic methods.  At least when it comes to market application and other areas of predicting for speculative purposes.

This system takes time cycle periods and transfer them into longitudinal divisions. These longitudinal divisions have rulers and the rulers effects are determined by these longitudinal segments. This table and the planets relationships to each other set the tone for trend identification.

This method was adapted from a prashna (horary) method and converted to a market application through diligent research and testing.

We are using this system to identify the timing and trend direction and its duration.  One of the other benefits of this system is that we can identify small timing windows where important intraday and intra week highs and lows will come in.  A great benefit to a short term trader.

We are also introducing another old concept with a new application. This concept is Astrodynes. This concept was developed by Elbert Benjamine, a friend of W. D. Gann's, who wrote under the pen name of C.C. Zain. He was the creator of the Astrodyne concept.

Astrodynes are measurements of power and harmony. These measurements are made using the planets, using their positions in signs and houses and their relationship to each other.

Mr. Benjamine created a system to quantify and give a numerical rating to each planet, house, and sign.  These ratings indicate strength, harmony, and discordance. These ratings have a direct influence on short term market trend.

We have modified the Astrodyne concept to draw an intraday market road map the likes of which is not available anywhere else. This roadmap marks out the likely trend direction and also finds important pivot points for entries and exits.

These are the primary methods that will identify trend and timing.

These are other concepts in the book which will help with timing and price swing termination points.

There is a segment on finding the key aspects that are operating on the market on any particular day. Many of you have experimented with this but few have found the solution. There is a format that must be followed to find the correct aspects in play on any particular day. The aspects today will be different than the aspects working tomorrow making this particular application of finding the correct aspects for pivot points an invaluable addition to your tool set.

There are two segments on market math, and one on frequency.  These calculations are simple and there are online calculators available that can be used to perform some of these tasks.  These math concepts can be used to make price, time, and or vector projections.

These are great pivot point reversals and these price projections are often major intraday reversal points often exact or within a couple of ticks. This is the Law of Vibration at work.

The intraday aspects along with these math tools, will find pivot points and strong support, resistance price levels which can be used in tandem with the trend tools already mentioned.

One of the more exoteric methods involves using the tides of the ocean. This is nothing but a physical representation of the effect of the moon on the earth in its orbit around the earth in tandem with the earth’s rotation.

We have taken the concepts of using the Tidal pattern to another level.  This Tidal pattern was originally explored by Robert Taylor in a book called Paradigm, in the prior decade.

Mr. Taylor did some fine work in this area but we have fine tuned it into a market application which will help to identify the short term high, low, high, low, swing pattern in the S&P500.

This pattern has one or two swing failures a year. The pattern also inverts for a certain number of swings and then reverts to the original pattern. This pattern will be described in detail along with information for the reader to easily access the data required to make the calculations.

A chapter on daily bar timing tools is also included to help align some of the shorter swing trades. The subject matter covered is a new look at planetary ingress, declination, latitude, retrograde, and planetary speed.

This is not anything earth shattering but some nice high-probability turning point information tying into our other tools.

The latter chapters will illustrate numerous examples of using all the tools on charts for both intraday and short swing trades.

The roadmap and trend pattern forecasts along with the ability to identify intraday highs and lows at exact times will improve every traders bottom line.

The intraday method uses a three pronged approach of Astrodynes and Vedic astrology trend identification, with the effective aspects of the day.  These three tools in combination give the trader a roadmap of the likely trend direction that can be mapped out in advance, along with the important likely turn times.

Along with the likely trend direction, most of the important turning points and many of the minor turning points on the intraday chart will be identified. Using the math tools in tandem with the astro tools allows a high level of time and price confluence to setup trading opportunities.
