While Dr. Baumring’s course series represents the primary pathway into the complete science behind Gann’s Law of Vibration, there are numerous other excellent interpretations and valuable applied techniques available based upon various partial elements of Gann Theory. Most traders and researchers are not concerned with understanding every inch and detail of Gann’s system. Rather, most are seeking practical techniques and tools that they can use for forecasting and trading the markets that will not require many years to understand and apply.
This Study Guide presents our selection of the very best works leading to a deeper understanding and successful application of Gann Theory. Gann’s works themselves represent a key segment of this category, but as many will attest, they can be quite challenging to interpret on their own. For this reason, there are a number of skilled analysts and traders that have distilled elements of Gann Theory down to practical techniques and methodologies that we strongly recommend for an accelerated entry into the complex world of Gann Analysis.
Each of these works provides a different angle, tool, perspective, focus, framework or skill taught by Gann. Each author has explored and developed their work over considerable time, and has distilled the essence down into these important interpretive works which will save the uninitiated seeker many years on his path to becoming a competent Gann Analyst or trader. Each book listed here represents the compilation of 1000’s of hours if not many years of dedicated research, trial, and error by these individuals. Thus, we consider this the best place to start as a first introduction to Gann studies, and for an accelerated application of some of Gann’s most powerful techniques.
Ferrera’s courses are our most popular Gann courses, and we strongly suggest them as the first and best place to begin. He takes Gann’s most difficult ideas and boils them down into clear and practical tools that can be applied by any trader, once Ferrera has explained them. His series of books and courses work through all of Gann’s most important ideas, step by step, presenting lucid explanations and demonstrating how to use these tools for practical forecasting and trading. Ferrera’s work alone is like a Master’s Degree in Gann Theory & Analysis.
Eric Penicka’s work, Gann Science: The Periodic Table & The Law of Vibration takes its lead from Gann’s first public interview in The Ticker and Investment Digest in 1909. In this interview, Gann lays out the clearest description of his system of the Law of Vibration that he was using to trade and forecast the markets at the start of his career. It presents the science from Gann’s day relating to the Periodic Table of elements and the chemical theory of the market. Penicka presents the clearest thesis as to how Gann’s spectacular trading shown in the Ticker Interview was accomplished, giving the scientific foundations behind this side of Gann’s work while developing the theory into a powerful arsenal of trading tools and practical applications based upon this insight.
Prandelli is a very practical analyst and swing trader and his course are popular with traders looking for clear methodologies and a working swing trading system using some of Gann’s best tools. This work is extremely practical and is used by many working traders to generate consistent returns.
Robert Rundle’s 2-volume set, Magic Words Thru The Zodiac, is one of our most unusual works which seeks to decode Gann’s most mysterious book, The Tunnel thru the Air. This romance novel written by Gann in 1927 is a front for a complex astro/cyclical code that Gann used to embed many of his deepest secrets. Rundle discovered a Masonic cypher that he uses to decode cycle lengths and starting points to reveal important cycles in varied markets. This study presents a completely different side of Gann’s work and opens up a doorway into a vast study of the most complex side of Gann.
Each of the following works are excellent! Walker provides a thorough analysis of Gann’s swing trading system applied by Gann over 17 years of trading. Robert’s work gives the best presentation of Gann’s Position Trading theory which generates large returns from small capital. Goulden’s work creates a correlative package of tools that integrate with Gann’s best work.
