About the Author and his Work
Johannes Sundberg is a 25-year professional trader and portfolio manager. Sundberg's two Gann based trading courses, The Secret Science of Squaring and The Harmonic Trader elaborate a major series of profound insights within the field of W. D. Trading Approach
The astro-geometric and harmonic tools are used to project trade setups with superb risk:reward ratios to use for short- to intermediate-term position trading.
- Projections are generally accurate to the day, though occasionally will fall a day out.
- Trades run from several days to several weeks or even months. Harmonic Trader trades operate on any time frame from 1-minute to monthly.
- Once a critical trade setup is identified, when the market reaches that point, a set of astro-geometric filters are used to isolate “square trades”, which produce about an 80% success rate.
- Applying the harmonic principles in his second book does not require "square trades" like with the Book 1 techniques and the success rate is even higher and more consistent
The trading approach used in Secret Science is short to intermediate term Position Trading, defined as the identification of significant high-probability trade setups with a minimum 1:3 risk:reward ratio, taking place within a time frame of several days to several weeks generally, though some trades may run for many months when a Major turning point is identified, and a significant trend begins. The Harmonic Trader
I am so very pleased with this book. It has given me many hours of feeling elevated to a higher plane of understanding. The author explains music and color vibration theory in a practical manner making it very usable for trading application. His insights have cracked the Gann door much wider open for me and I expect others will find their Gann knowledge to be elevated to a much higher level. I have only applied techniques from the first 1/3 of the book, resulting in many successful trades already. So, there is plenty of “meat” to dig my teeth into that will keep me busy for many years ahead.
Sell your old fishing boat and buy this book. You'll catch a lot more real “fish.” Looking forward to applying the remainder of the book and then buying a new fishing boat! HW, New Glarus, WI
I think Ola has cracked more Gann stuff than anyone other than maybe Baumring (just guessing about that). Nothing else you've published comes close to this. What kills me is that currently I've been, for my own entertainment, reading a lot of stuff that dovetails perfectly (almost exactly) with some of Ola's esoteric ponderings. The time was just right, I guess. No wonder I got a strong intuition to taketh das plunge with this one.
Wow..... tons of fun, but already I can see this stuff working. Brilliant! Respect. There's almost too much material here to digest.......... I hit page 224 and by God there's still more. Goddammit I need to calm down - the stuff I'm seeing!!!! There's almost an entire trading system right here, my dudes. I need a cigarette, but I gave up smoking 20 years ago. What am I to do??? The book is really, really good, even exceeding his first book and it’s definitely one of your top 3 books on offer! I would say you aren’t charging enough! The price is too low should be above $6k, maybe even above $7k. I think it’s way better than Book 1!It is the best book for support and resistance levels ever! I haven’t read anything more accurate than this. The octave and timing lines are superb. Though the octave lines are the strongest part of the book, what I like about it is you can find the correct octave very early in the move, it’s not like you have til the move is almost over to find out if you have chosen the right octave and the ‘yardstick’ correction technique will let you know if you have chosen the correct octave out of the two. I don’t know if you remember, but two weeks ago you sent me a picture with Sunberg’s Angles on the SPY, and I rued how I missed out on the Planetary price reversals….
